Adeline Parrot, born in 1987, is a French artist currently living between Paris and Taipei. In 2012, she graduated from Villa Arson in Nice, France. Her artistic journey began in Asia after her diploma and found its genesis in the collection of papers and photographs. Using this collection as a foundation for creating collages, she explores landscapes and nature to interpret the world we live in. Her exploration has led her to work with various mediums, including silk painting and paper installations. She has presented her work to the public in both France and Asia.

Adeline Parrot, after completing her studies, moved to Asia, where her artistic practice was enriched by new influences, cultural imagery, and objects gathered from her travels and local markets. Her creative process is rooted in collecting visual elements—magazine clippings, papers, fabrics, and various materials, including objects—which form a library of materials for her work. Using this foundation, she plays with forms, colors, and patterns (architectural details, wallpaper or textile motifs, souvenirs, ornamental elements, etc.), assembling them into collages. By displacing these fragments from their original contexts, she creates new imagery that tells fresh stories. With a vibrant color palette and an organic approach, Adeline works in small series based on themes she wishes to explore. Her bold and vivid collages are inspired by her daily life and surroundings. In addition to her collage work, she also experiments with paper installations, transforming her collected materials into immersive compositions that play with space, light, and texture. This sculptural approach allows her to extend her exploration of landscapes and nature beyond two-dimensional formats. She has also embraced silk painting as a new means of expression, bringing her artistic vision onto textile surfaces. Recently, she collaborated with Mahaud Paris on Florea, designing the floral ornaments adorning the silk garments. Together, they explored floral forms, volumes, patterns, and color nuances, blending contrasting materials—silk, socks, and tights—to recreate, piece by piece, a poetic universe reminiscent of a grandmother’s garden. This project allowed her to translate her artistic universe into textile patterns, merging art and fashion in a delicate and poetic way.
