ARTIST STATEMENT

My collages exist at the threshold between dream and reality. Fragments from different worlds merge, familiar forms dissolve, and new perspectives emerge. Within this in-between space, memory, imagination, and the present moment blur — creating a play with perception that invites exploration.

Through layering, fragmentation, and juxtaposition, I experiment with images, structures, and visual planes to create new, often surreal worlds. My practice is guided by intuition as much as by conscious composition, allowing ambiguity and visual tension to unfold and encouraging viewers to form their own associations.

ARTIST BIO

I am a photographer and visual artist based in Frankfurt, Germany, working primarily with collage and mixed media.

I studied photography as a scholarship holder at the Fotoakademie Köln, where I developed a strong foundation in photographic image-making, visual narrative, and experimental approaches to images. My background in photography continues to shape my collage practice, which I understand as an extension of the photographic image — deconstructing reality and reassembling it into new visual constellations.

My work has been exhibited at the Horbach-Stiftung in Cologne, and I have expanded my artistic practice through workshops, including a workshop with Wolfgang Zurborn, focusing on conceptual and experimental photography.

In addition to exhibitions, I have participated in collaborative projects such as Sketchbook Hamburg, contributing original sketchbook-based work to an international visual archive.

My artistic focus lies in exploring perception, memory, and the spaces between the familiar and the surreal, using collage as a tool to open new ways of seeing.
