ARTIST STATEMENT
Paris has now been my home of almost 10 years. Even though I am half French, and grew up in a multicultural home, I have never been able to fully reconcile my dual identities. I use the medium of collage to blend the parts of French culture I grew up surrounded by, as well as the ‘touristic love’ that I continue to have for the city despite my years here. For the majority of my collages, I uniquely use images taken in city as well as materials that I find at my local marché aux puces. From subject to materials, many of my collages are a declaration of love for the city that has become my eternally foreign but familiar hometown, and the many experiences i've had here over the years.
