ARTIST STATEMENT
I make collages to exercise my creative impulses and to engage with the viewer. Collage is the selective collection and editing of multiple images to create a new reality. To paraphrase Gestalt theory -the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts. The creation of a collage is a communion between the artist and the viewer. The meaning lies as much in the eye of the viewer as in the intention of the artist.
