Forgotten archives, lost memories and decaying imagery are the focus of my illustrative practice. Uncovering and researching narratives buried within collection of found photography is what inspires my mixed media works.
Eve Lumai Bridges (Eve Illustration) is based in the Peak District, just a stones throw from Manchester in the UK. When she’s not working from her home studio, you will find Eve at Elephantstones Gallery, the family business, where she is artist in residence.
Eve has recently completed a Masters degree in Design: Illustration at Manchester School of Art achieving a distinction and in 2017, achieved a 1st class degree in Illustration with Animation from the same institution. For her final year exhibition, Eve was awarded the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts Graduate Award making her a graduate member of the academy and allowing her to exhibit in their annual shows.
Eve has shown her work at the Royal Academy of Arts down in London as part of their summer exhibition in 2017 & 2018 and has also had her worked used in a project run by film director Danny Boyle for the launch of the School of Digital Arts, Manchester in 2019.
