ARTIST STATEMENT
Working with vintage ephemera, colour, shapes, typography, found images and objects – I am currently engaged within a mixed-media realm of analogue collage, digital collage and acrylic painting – giving myself freedom to create and play again outside the constraints of a brief after 20 years as a graphic designer.
I’m enjoying the process of creating intuitively in the moment with spontaneity, exploring and experimenting – combining different ideas and having fun with my work. Creating new little worlds that are random, surreal, abstract... juxtaposing elements and putting the unexpected together.
ARTIST BIO
Based in Queensland, Australia, I am currently working my collage practice around my family and graphic design business – creating logo design, hand lettering, graphic design and branding. I'm focused on delivering high quality creative with a dedication to creative thinking and effective, emotive visual communication. I am also passionate about design education and currently hold a university sessional academic position tutoring 2 design subjects.
