ARTIST STATEMENT
My collage artworks offer explorations into abstract realms. I continually seek to understand human dynamics, featuring interpersonal encounters, both intimate and expansive. As compositions, their symbols and colors arise from the unconscious mind, intuitively placed, yet juxtaposed within the constraints of geometric templates. In this way, a tension is created between contrasting themes and ideas, such as order and chaos; known and unknown; material and spiritual. Using layers of narrative, my goal is to encourage the gradual discovery of meaningful interpretations, bringing a familiarity of experience to each viewer.
