ARTIST STATEMENT


Known primarily for my bird portraits, I also do analog collage that incorporates birds into the imagery, Although different from my paintings, both approaches are provocative and unworldly. Each exists in the borderland between mystery and fantasy in their innate if elusive narrative.

ARTIST BIO


I grew up as a US Army brat and lived in multiple States as well as Germany. I have a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University, and attended classes at The New School of Social Research and Dieu Donne Papermill in New York City. Since leaving New York in 2010, my work has been shown in Provincetown, where I now live, at The Commons, the Adam Peck Gallery and the Garage Gallery. There have been two solo exhibits at Artspace in Richmond, VA as well as two more in Provincetown, MA. plus numerous group exhibits at the Provincetown Art Association Museum, including seven juried exhibitions.
