I've been creating art in one form or another for as long as I can
remember. For over a decade I owned a business in Los Angeles creating
mixed-media greeting cards by hand but have recently begun creating mixed-media
collages as my primary form of artistic expression. I love working with all
kinds of paper, especially vintage ephemera. There is something extremely
satisfying about using ephemeral elements from the past to create something
tangible in the present. I am drawn to the nostalgia of older eras and the
images, designs, fonts, and colors associated with them. I also feel a strong
connection to the "kitschy-ness" of mid-century advertising and
graphics and like to incorporate them into my work as well.
