ARTIST STATEMENT
Analog collage is based on the use of diverse textures, enabling storytelling as a form of meditation that helps to navigate moments of uncertainty. Each collage is a collection of carefully selected cutout paper elements, open to multiple interpretations. It is the viewers who, through their own perspective, bring these elements to life, giving the collage a subjective meaning.
Analog collages exist not only as two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects. A kinetic collage is a method of creating a collage that goes beyond the traditional medium of paper and the three dimensions: length, width, and depth.
A kinetic collage made from trash, paper suspended on strings and found objects is an installation inspired by the work of Władysław Hasior and Mark Dion and introduces the principle of movement into the collage. The spatial collage does not require glue and is created using string and recycled paper, newspapers, magazines, and plastic waste found on the streets of Kraków.
The installation moved by the wind and air movement, constantly creates new arrangements and relationships between its elements. This unlimited number of combinations cannot be precisely predicted.
ARTIST BIO
Interdisciplinary photographer and collage artist currently living in Poland. Initially, I studied philosophy at the BSU University in Minsk. I also obtained a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Bauhaus University in Weimar and after graduation lived in Berlin for 3 years. For many years, I presented my work at numerous exhibitions in Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland, including Spinnerei in Leipzig, BWA in Wroclaw and Museum of Comics in Krakow. I worked for queer festivals and organized numerous storytelling and collage workshops.
