ARTIST STATEMENT
I aim to be irreverent, droll and to teeter on the very edge of good taste in my artworks. Inspired by vintage imagery, history and feminist themes, I work in both the digital and analogue fields. Seeking out new ways of conveying my message, I have experimented in oil, acrylic, ink, pastel and clay but always come back to my first love – collage. My degree in Art History has given me grounding in the theory of visual storytelling.
ARTIST BIO
I’ve exhibited at various shows on and offline internationally and locally since 2019. I have been a journalist and magazine editor for over 25 years and – allegedly – as a toddler was kept quiet in my playpen by being given catalogues and safety scissors (at least I hope they were safe). I guess I’ve been addicted to magazines and their content ever since. I’m glad to be in such good company.
