ARTIST BIO
Milja Laine is a Helsinki based illustrator and visual artist, who works mainly with drawings, aquarelle and collage. She has degrees in contemporary arts and ecology, and nature connection is at the core of her artistic practices.
Laine creates both analog and digital collages. She recurrently visits themes of vulnerability, otherness and impermanence, making poetic explorations on the interconnected and ephemeral nature of everything.
Since 2012 Laine's illustrations have been published in various education materials, magazines and children's books. Her artwork has also been on display in Madrid and around Finland.
